‘When I heard about it I was 99% convinced that I wouldn’t be doing it. But in one of many meetings with Watts something suddenly shifted when they began discussing their history. They’d been so consistent for the past 150 years and really managed to stick to their look without compromising anything to fashion or trends, they’ve stayed true to their heritage and that really appealed to me. The fact that there is a history there and with them I can create something that is timeless, going back 150 years, whilst at the same time relating to the present.’
